We give thanks for his ministry and friendship during the last four years, and we wish him a very happy retirement.
We have very much appreciated Fr Michael's presence for Mass and the sacraments. Mass was always well prepared and prayerful, his homilies gave us food for thought. Fr Michael made a strong commitment to this community and our monastic way of life, joining in our celebrations which were very enjoyable.
We understand Fr Michael's wish to move to be nearer family but we shall miss him.
Fr Michael will celebrate his last Mass at Holy Cross Abbey on Sunday 16th August 2020 at 9am.
