On 9th October we celebrated Sr Elizabeth's 90th Birthday, it was a beautiful day. Mass for Sr Elizabeth was followed by birthday greetings and gifts in the Chapter Room. Sr Elizabeth's good friend Barbara from Germany came especially. The lunch menu was requested by Elizabeth and enjoyed by all.
On the Solemnity of St Peter & Paul Sr Elsie made her Temporary Profession. It was a grace-filled ceremony and a lovely day of celebration. Sr Elsie had initially emailed us from Hong Kong thus beginning a nine months dialogue. Then in 2014 Elsie came for a two month live-in and finally entered on 15th May 2015. A huge journey from a busy life in Hong Kong to a Cistercian community in Wales for which we give thanks. Sr Elsie now joins Sr Usia in the Juniorate.
